Privacy notice

DiceyRecords is run by an individual in the United States. This site is a place to hear and read about the music — there are no accounts, no logins and nothing to buy. This page explains the two times information is involved.

The contact form

When you send a message through the contact form, we receive:

• your name, email address, chosen subject and message;
• your country and browser, recorded with the message to catch spam.

Your IP address is not stored. The form deliberately does not keep it, so there is no record of your address here to lose.

That information is used for one thing: reading your message and replying to it. It is stored in a private database hosted by Cloudflare and emailed to the label's own inbox (Google Gmail). It is never sold, never used for marketing lists, and never shared with anyone else except those two providers, who process it on our behalf.

Messages are deleted automatically after 12 months by a job that runs every week. You can also ask for your message to be deleted sooner — just say so in a new message and it will be removed, normally within a few days.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see roughly how many people visit and which pages they read. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint you and does not follow you across other websites. We see totals — page views, countries, referring sites, load times — not individuals.

Because this site sets no cookies at all and stores nothing in your browser, there is no cookie banner to click.

Other companies involved

• Cloudflare hosts the site, serves it and holds the contact database. Like any host, it processes your IP address in order to deliver pages and block abuse.
• Spotify supplies the 30-second track previews. Nothing is requested from Spotify until you press play on a preview; at that point Spotify receives your IP address, as it would if you visited Spotify directly.
• Store links (Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, HyperFollow) are ordinary links. Once you follow one, that company's own privacy policy applies.

Fonts and images are served from this site itself, so simply reading a page does not hand your details to any third party beyond the host.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. If you are in the UK, the EU or a US state with its own privacy law, those rights are yours by law and we will honour them regardless. Ask through the contact form.

We do not knowingly collect information from children, and nothing on this site is aimed at them.

Changes

If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves. See also the terms of use.
